WelcomeTo The Orangery

Locally Owned and Operated by David and Rebecca Kiger. The Orangery story began in 1971 when a young enterprising businessman named Kristopher Kendrick realized that the elegant ladies of Knoxville needed an equally elegant place to enjoy lunch. As a lifelong lover of all things French, Kristopher named his restaurant The Orangery (after Marie Antoinette’s greenhouses in France) and soon Knoxville was buzzing with the news of the “little French place” in Bearden which served such exotic fare as shrimp salad sandwiches and quiche! Though rather small, the restaurant had space enough for private parties and was filled with artwork and architectural details which Kristopher collected from his travels abroad as well as local gems…

  • Absolutley "THE" place for a bridesmaid's brunch. We reserved the Morning Room, easy access to the courtyard, hired a strolling violinist, Al Columbo, and had a splendid time. Jane and her crew are top drawer. The food and service were exceptional. Many thanks!
